I tested this Presser Bar at the quilt retreat while working on 6" machine-pieced blocks and 3" paper-pieced blocks. If you have a seam you want to press open to reduce bulk this is a game changer! I laid the seam along the wool hump, pressed it open, and then set the wood bar on top for a few seconds, and viola - a flat, open seam.
I had been hesitant to add anything to the ironing station by my sewing machine but I'll have this at my side from now on. If you get nothing else today, invest in this - you'll be glad you did. My friend Nancy said it's her favorite new tool and I have to agree. Made of 100% wool and wood. Measures 3" x 2" x 12"
