State Fair Sampler Block of the Month quilt series on our web site. The blocks were free for one year from the date they were uploaded.
The quilt is based on an antique quilt that won Second prize at the Ohio State Fair and Fourth prize at the Central States Exhibition held during the early 1900s. This is sure to be a treasure when completed. In total there are 56 six inch blocks. Instructions are given for the easiest method of construction for each block. The blocks throughout the quilt are machine pieced, foundation paper pieced, hand pieced and applique.
