Do you love little pieces? Lots of pieces? Do you enjoy foundation paper piecing? Strawberry Stars will grab your heart and take you on a wonderful journey creating a block that has its roots deep in the past. Strawberries don't grow on trees but this block did!  In the pattern, I tell you how an old, traditional quilt block was tweaked to create the most wonderful star. The shapes aren't difficult but the sheer number of them makes this a sweet treat to stitch. I've included all my tips and tricks to make construction quick, easy, and fun.

The pattern includes instructions for foundation paper piecing. You can, of course, rotary cut and machine-piece the blocks using traditional piecing techniques.

  • The foundation pattern is color shaded for easy fabric placement.
  • The stitching order is numbered so the seams will nest for easy construction.
  • Each star is 18" square.
  • The layout for a nine-block 74" quilt is included.

Trust me, you'll love these sweet strawberry red stars surrounded by beautiful scrappy little seeds of half-square triangles.  Don't be intimidated - I've broken it down into easy to foundation piece sections and I can't wait to see what you come up with. This one is so sweet I bet you can't make just one star!
